New Delhi: Comedian Raju Srivastava passed away on September 21 in New Delhi. Raju, who was admitted to AIIMS after suffering a heart attack on August 10, was fighting for his life and was on a ventilator for the last one and a half months. After his demise, comedians, actors, politicians from all walks of life mourned his death. Comedian Atul Khatri also took to his Instagram to pay tribute to the late comedian.

He wrote, “RIP Rajubhai ❤️🙏 You were an inspiration to many. You lit it every time you went on stage. Your presence was such that a smile automatically appeared on people’s faces when they saw you. You will be truly missed. A great loss to the Indian stand-up comedy scene😢.

In his post, comedian Rohan Joshi wrote a sentimental comment saying, “We have lost nothing. Be it Karma, be it roasting or whatever comes in the news. Raju Srivastava took every opportunity he got to use new comics, especially after the new wave of stand up took off. He went on every fkall news channel every time he was invited to talk about an upcoming art form and called it humiliating because he couldn’t understand it and new stars were rising. He may have told some good jokes, but he doesn’t understand the sense of humor or defending one’s right to say something even if you don’t agree with it. F^^k him and be good.”

Soon after she was criticized and trolled by netizens for her comment. After the backlash, Rohan deleted the comment and apologized, saying, “Today I realized after a minute of anger Yehi soch kar teleit kiya kyuki, these are not my personal feelings. Sorry for the offense, thanks for the view (sic).”

Actor Sikandar Kerum was upset by Rohan Joshi’s now-deleted comment, responding to it on his Instagram story, writing, “People are never the best way they think they should be. But that’s life, we humans and humanity have to deal with it for our own health and happiness (in my opinion). But after reading this about someone who died too soon, I feel sad that a young man who could be so funny and witty has so little humanity. #unfortunately #sad and very very #cool. Ps: I took a lot to be this polite.
