PFI to stage ‘bandh’ in Kerala on Friday to protest against raids by central agencies

The Popular Front of India (PFI) has called for a dawn-to-dusk bandh in Kerala on Friday to protest raids by several central agencies at their organization’s offices and the homes of their leaders. Bandh will be held from 6 am to 6 pm. Basic and essential services are excluded from the shutdown.

“A hartal will be observed in the state on September 23 against the RSS-controlled fascist government’s attempt to suppress alternative voices using central organisations,” PFI state general secretary A Abdul Sathar said.

Addressing a press conference, Abdul Sattar said that the Central Intelligence Agency is trying to create a smoke screen against democratically functioning organizations.

“Through such actions, the central government is actually indulging in unconstitutional activities. General society should raise its voice against such practices to protect the country,” Chatter was quoted as saying.
