Former Man City midfielder David Silva fined for injuring woman during fight in Spain

Spain and former Manchester City midfielder David Silva has been found guilty by a Spanish court of allegedly injuring a woman during a fight.

During a carnival celebration in the Canary Islands on June 19, a fight broke out between a group of people and Silva and his companions, according to court documents seen by The Associated Press on Thursday.

Silva grabbed the woman forcefully to pull her back and “triggered her to fall,” the court heard.

She required medical treatment for back pain, bruises and bruises on her elbows and knees.

The court fined Silva €1,080 ($1,066) for injuring the woman.

Two others were found to be unwell. One was fined, the other fined and eight months in prison.

Silva has been playing for LaLiga side Real Sociedad since 2020. The 36-year-old is a World Cup winner and won the Premier League four times during his time at City.
