Corona’s new nasal vaccine is about to arrive, which can be approved in a day or two. Even after the introduction of this vaccine as a booster dose, if the corona becomes infected, then the patient’s chances of going to the hospital will be greatly reduced. The Subject Expert Committee ie SEC, which approved the medicines of Corona, had a meeting on Tuesday in which it was considered for approval. Let us inform that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had recently said that soon the nasal vaccine of Corona will start.

Vaccine is also effective on Omicron variant

It is being claimed that this nasal vaccine is also effective on the Omicron variant of Corona. This vaccine has also been made by Bharat Biotech. Let us tell you that this is the same company that has made Covaxin, the indigenous vaccine of Corona. The Drugs Controller General of India may approve this nasal vaccine as a booster dose. This booster dose will be given to those people who have been fully immunized. They will be given the nasal vaccine as a booster dose and it will not matter whether they have taken the Covishield dose or the Covaccine.

The vaccine is code named BBV-154
The name of this vaccine is not fixed and is currently code BBV-154. Bharat Biotech has conducted a clinical trial of its nasal vaccine BBV154 on 5000 people. Of the people on whom trials have been conducted, two and a half thousand people had received both doses of Kovashield and two and a half thousand people. Apart from Bharat Biotech, Dr Reddy’s Lab has also sent the proposal of Sputnik Light to DCGI. This is a single dose vaccine..which can be used as a booster dose.

The data of Sputnik Light is also with the government.
Dr Reddy’s has given the data of the third phase of Sputnik Light to the government and said that the Sputnik Light booster vaccine is effective against the Omicron variant of the corona virus. After taking a booster dose of this vaccine, the chances of serious corona infection and hospitalization are greatly reduced. Although the government will study the data of Sputnik Light, after which it will be considered for permission, but the nasal vaccine of Bharat Biotech can be approved soon as a booster dose.

PM had mentioned nasal vaccine
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced in his address on 25 December that the nasal vaccine of Corona would start soon. The biggest feature of the nasal vaccine is that it creates immunity in the inner parts of the nose. Since the route of infection in most virus-borne diseases is through the nose, vaccination through the nose helps more in preventing infection. In view of the threat of Omicron, work on the manufacture of nasal vaccine in India has been expedited.
